“Here comes Spezza. Spezza, one-on-three; not great odds, let’s see what he can do; inside-out----back-in-oh-my-heavens! JASON SPEZZA, one-on-three beats the odds and wins the gameâ€
The skills being shown by some of the NHL’s elite in the newly opened-up brand of NHL hockey are a purists dream, and on Thursday night the Ottawa Senators beat the Montreal Canadiens 4-3 in an overtime-with-a-highlight-reel-finish display of Canadian content.
On the night, the Canadiens pairing of Montreal-native Mike Ribeiro and Newfoundland product Michael Ryder combined for three goals and five points while two of Ottawa’s youngsters, Dany Heatley and Jason Spezza each picked up a goal and an assist.
Jason Spezza would steal the show though when the game was on the line in overtime.
Skating gingerly down the right wing, Spezza hurried the puck deep into the Montreal zone before cutting to the middle and delivering a textbook “how’s she going†on Canadiens defenseman Sheldon Souray who could only watch, with the rest of us, and then wait for the replay.
Sheldon Souray, on a side-note, has to deal with this being surely one of the goals of the season while at the same time he’s feeling the drawbacks that surely come as a result of your ex-Baywatch-actress wife divorcing you.
Anyways—after the how’s she goin’ on Souray, Spezza took the puck onto his backhand, went to his forehand and then went back to the backhand again, roofing the puck behind a sun burnt Jose Theodore who, right after the goal goes in, gives a look to the people in attendance as if to say “what was I supposed to do?!â€
There was nothing you could do Jose, don’t worry about it.
Moral of the Story: Just think about how sweet the goals section of the next Rock ‘em Sock ‘em will be with scoring up 400% |

Spezza is the top 5 player in the League playing wiht Alfredsonn and Heatley, don't forgot about Martin "snazzlat" Havlat guys is gross and dangles d-men like it is his job
