Well, after a long and stressful week for the Toronto Maple Leafs it ended with a bang for all 19,596 people at the Air Canada Center which was a season high crowd. After a sluggish first period for both teams the Maple Leafs finished the second period with a power-play goal from Darcy Tucker which made it just his second goal of the season. Usually when these two teams meet its a fast-paced
rough, and tough game, but usually the Senators quick strike offense will take charge and prevail to win. It was near the opposite in this affair. The "yawner" was said to have been the Maple Leafs game plan from the get go, so that they could try and slow down the Senators offensive capabilities.

Their game plan was flawless. In the third period the Senators couldn't get anything going as the Maple Leafs cashed in on the Senators lack of offense by Maple Leafs captain Mats Sundin scoring his 10th of the season. Then to put the icing on the cake was Jiri Tlusky to make it 3-0 and put the knock-out
punch on the Senators. It was the perfect man (Tlusky) to finish the Senators seeing as it was him who was caught up in some of the Maple Leafs action earlier this week as there were some nude photos of him posted on the internet.

This was only the Senators third loss of the season, the last time they got shut-out was in December 2006 when Nashville beat them 6-0. The Senators managed just 22 shots (none of which came from Dany Heatley or Jason Spezza), where the Maple Leafs managed 18 shots on net. Sundin's goal marked yet another milestone which was his 533rd career goal, tying him with Hockey Hall
of Famer Frank Mahovlich for 27th place on the all-time NHL list.
There was a minor scrap at the end of the game which resulted in no penalties.

Note: Toronto's next game is against Boston at home on Tuesday, November 20th. Whereas the next Senators game is when they play the Canadiens in Montreal on Monday, November 19th.
