As the Christmas season gets nearer you cant help but think about the world junior championships. There is nothing better than waking up Christmas morning and tuning into TSN to watch Canada kick international ass. This years junior team has added pressure that is only experienced once every four years. They have the opportnity to start Canada's international dominance, to do what the last juniors could not do, when Canada won both men's and women's international gold. The last team that had this opportunity was full of future stars, including Jason Spezza, Rick Nash, Brad Boyes, and Jay Bouwmeester. They unfortunatly fell short in the gold medal game to our age old rivals from Russia.

This years team has a host of young talent with only one returning player from last year, Cam Barker. With all these open spots a new generation of Canadians will have a chance to make a name for themselves on a world stage and hopefully set the trend of Canadian dominance in international play. Can't wait 'til Christmas.
