Hockey Headlines Where has it gone?
Posted by lanky2279 on Wednesday, May 07, 2008
Through out the years of hockey, the sport we have all come to know and love it has been know as a sport where only the toughest survive. You have always needed to have a little F.U in you. All the greats of the game the Howe's the Orr's and the Richard's all have fire in their hearts and ice in their vains. They played the game with so much grit and passion nobody in todays game would even want to be on the same ice as them.

Hockey Stories Goodbyeeeeeee
Posted by HockeyReporter on Wednesday, May 07, 2008
This story is never too late to read!

I don't seem to understand why I am actually excited that the Senators tonight to finish off their season getting swept by the Penguins. Maybe it is because they put all sens fans out of their misery, or because Wade Redden played his last game as a Senator. I really don't know, but it's very odd.

Daniel Alfredsson remains the heart and soul of the team and other than him I truly don't know who will be back for the Senators next year. It is clear that the core should be back, but with the owner such as Eugene Melnyk I wouldn't be shocked to see anyone gone next year.

Melnyk spoke with CBC during the intermission and guaranteed that Bryan Murray will be back next year. That doesn't say that he will stay the head coach. I would ponder to guess that we will see yet another new face behind the bench.

After a very emotionally trying year for most sens fans, starting the year off with a spark and going 15-2, the Senators never looked back, and couldn't seem to get anything going.

Hockey Stories What to do now if you are a Sens fan...
Posted by HockeyReporter on Saturday, May 03, 2008
It seems like months ago that the Ottawa Senators played a game. Well it was months ago- I suppose, the last time they played a good game. They finished the season off with a bust, and they left every Sens fan with a terrible taste in their mouth.

As Senators fans, all we can do it hope for a better season next year. Not as much a better season, then a consistent season, to say the least. We saw spurts of greatness from the squad, when they played that Detroit game like it was a Stanley Cup Final, and we saw the start and end of the downfall, when they went on that west-coast road trip all the way to the end of the post-season when the got swept by the Pens.

Hockey Stories Band of Brothers
Posted by senny1-4 on Saturday, April 26, 2008
I’ve always wondered why hockey players are different than every other athlete or person that I have ever met. Is it because of our lifestyle; is it because we don’t care what other people think about us; is it because we play for the love of the game and not the money? It’s a combination of all of those, but the recurring issue that I find to be most accurate is that we are different than everyone else because being a hockey player is more than just playing a sport for us; it’s the air we breathe. Without it, we would cease to exist. It’s something we’re born with and will die with.....
